404ops Data Tables
Sortable, searchable tables for WordPress — with a one-click importer from TablePress.
Free edition. Your own browser demo. No account needed.
Build a table, or bring one you already have, and publish it with sorting, search and pagination that work on a phone.
Free
- Tables with sorting, search and pagination, placed by shortcode or block.
- CSV and XLSX import, with delimiter, header and column-type detection.
- Link a table to a CSV on the web instead of uploading a file, and re-pull it whenever you like with one click. The rows swap in a single step, so visitors never catch a half-updated table — and if the fetch fails, the table keeps serving what it already had and tells you why. For a Google Sheet, publish it to the web as CSV and paste that link.
- Column types — text, number, currency, date, URL, email and image — so sorting a currency column sorts by value rather than alphabetically.
- CSV and XLSX export.
Coming from TablePress?
A one-click importer reads TablePress's own storage and brings your tables across — rows, columns, options and visibility.
It is read-only on TablePress, so you can run both side by side and verify before switching. Existing [table id=…] shortcodes and blocks in your posts keep working afterwards, through a compatibility layer that activates only once TablePress is deactivated — so nothing breaks on the day you switch, and you do not have to edit a single post.
Where TablePress has something we cannot represent — merged cells, per-row visibility, custom JS — it is listed for you per table rather than dropped silently.
What Pro adds
- Scheduled syncing — refresh a linked CSV automatically every hour or once a day. Manual refresh remains free.
- Highlight rules — colour a cell or a whole row by condition. Comparisons run through the column's own type, so a currency rule of 1000 means one thousand pounds and a date rule compares dates.
- Row detail — a hidden column currently just disappears; with the add-on it moves into an expandable drawer per row, so a wide table stays readable on a phone.
The importer stays free, and so does pulling a linked table by hand. Getting your data in, and getting at it afterwards, are not things we would charge for.
