404ops Knowledge Base
A self-service knowledge base: articles filed into categories, rendered in your own theme, with breadcrumbs and Article structured data.
A dedicated place for help articles, kept apart from your regular posts. Write an article, file it into a knowledge-base category, and it renders in your own theme with a breadcrumb trail and Article structured data.
Features
- A "KB Articles" content type with its own hierarchical "KB Categories" taxonomy.
- Multiple knowledge bases on one site, each with its own articles, categories and settings.
- Articles render in your theme. Block themes draw the page; classic themes use a bundled template that a theme can replace.

- An Order Articles screen, view counts, and a "Was this article helpful?" prompt that can be turned off.
- An optional table of contents and related articles on each article, both off by default.
- An optional front-end index with live search suggestions and a results page.
- A
[kb_faq]shortcode for expandable questions, emitted as FAQPage structured data. - A glossary that links the first occurrence of each defined term to its definition.
- Role-based visibility for an article or a whole category.
- Embeddable listings: an index, categories, search and popular articles.
- Multilingual knowledge bases with WPML or Polylang.
- Optional /llms.txt and /llms-full.txt for AI crawlers, off by default.
- Migration from other knowledge-base plugins and help desks, and CSV import and export of articles.
- Optional AI features that use your own provider account. Nothing the model writes is published by the plugin.
