404ops Security Suite
Read local security configuration and saved observations from five independent 404ops plugins.
404ops Security Suite brings nine local checklist observations from Site Options, Upload Settings, SSL Monitor and Activity Log into one administrator dashboard. Network Scanner availability appears separately and does not count toward the checklist.
Local observations, with visible unknowns
Each check shows Positive, Negative or Unknown. Missing or unsupported components and unusable observations remain Unknown. Saved certificate and completed activity-chain observations must be no more than 24 hours old. These observations describe configuration and local evidence; they do not certify that a site is secure.
Opening the dashboard runs no scan or repair and makes no external request. Upload anomaly screening detects suspicious uploads; it does not quarantine them. An intact local activity chain does not prove that its event contents are trustworthy.
Separate components, one view
Install Security Suite and the separate Free components through the normal WordPress plugin upload flow: Site Options, Upload Settings, SSL Monitor, Activity Log and Network Scanner. Configure each component and run any required checks on that component's own settings page. The companion can run alone, with Unknown observations until compatible components and usable observations are available.
Each plugin keeps its own installation, updates and licences. Security Suite grants no Pro rights and does not replace the components' settings screens.
Administrator access
The dashboard, GET-only REST endpoint and local WP-CLI status command require the WordPress manage_options capability. For WP-CLI, select an authorized user with --user. There is no write endpoint or repair command. Security Suite creates no tables and saves no checklist snapshots; it does not display event bodies, network targets or licence keys.
Free companion
Security Suite is a Free plugin with no Pro add-on. Its components remain independently installed and licensed.
AI and external data
The companion reads local configuration and saved observations; its checklist sends no model request and opening it initiates no external request or scan. Separate installed components may send data to a configured AI provider or network service when their own features are invoked or enabled. Their settings, provider accounts and disclosures apply independently; Security Suite does not enable those features.
Read the installed edition's External Services disclosure before enabling a feature. Review the provider policies and DPA considerations.
